Blameless (Parasol Protectorate #3) - Gail Carriger I would like Carriger's books a lot better as they manga they are soon to be or if they were filmed. Her characterisation is sketchy and based on tics and gestures that don't mesh well. By this, the third book in the series, I should have a a better grasp of who the main characters are and they should mean something to me. Actors - voice or live action - would give them flesh and consistency and compassion. She doesn't have a good command of voice either. They all sound the same underneath their vocabulary mannerisms. That said, they're fun books, full of action that would look great on screen or drawn, full of slapstick and comic business. The fun she pokes at steampunk is also a delight.
